A nice feature of the book is that quotes from Cabeza de Vaca's original text are inserted throughout the story, so that children get a chance to experience the primary source.The illustrations in this book are beautiful, and I can't help but wonder if I would have remembered what I read back in college better if I had also had access to the children's version of Cabeza de Vaca's story!If you are from Texas or the Gulf Coast We Asked for Nothing would be even more meaningful for you because it talks extensively about the Native American tribes who lived in that area. For real? Who is their demographic? Is there truly a section of the population that is adept enough to make their own circuit boards, yet inexperienced enough to need a book to repeat the on-screen instructions for a Windows install and show them how to make connections that can, in reality, only be made one way due to the design of the connectors? Maybe a 72 year old Ham radio operator falls into this category, but are they the ones buying this book????The remainder of the book was just screen shots from installation wizards for Windows and drivers.No disrespect to the writer, as it's a noble idea, but the execution is horrible.. They end up addicted, homeless
