Poussin was highly prolific and was considered by his contemporaries to be the greatest living painter, a man whose work embodied the ideal of French classical art. Poussin himself stressed logic and clarity in his work, formulating doctrines with the aim of intellectualizing art; in the latter, he succeeded in leaving an influence in art that lasted centuries.

I certainly want to dig deeper into his character.Lily’s grandmother, Mackenna, may not be the focus of the story, but for me, she stole the show. It is written in a way that you feel the pain that she experienced and admiration for the way she worked through the many issues she faced. Thayne- after being deep undercover for 2 years- seemed to be a bit naive and vulnerable while he and Jarrett are on the run. It does not glam things up or make it an unwilling textbook for pro-ana websites. I love her writings.. This is a great book for daydreamers as well as a great sourcebook of ideas if you want to add a touch of Med-Style to your home. In fact, I thought her critiques of conventional medicine were spot on.The book describes itself as a "Memoir" but I'd consider it to be more of a hybrid between an actual memoir and a manual for how to fight cancer with a combination of natural medicine, herbs, diet, holistic methodologies, etc.My only regret is that I didn't come across this book sooner. However remarkable this clock was, it was not the first clock made in America. I absolutely adore Faerie lore and the books that surround them.
