Many details about the used terms in this book can be easily found in the internet.. My first assumption was that this small scale (approx. Weatherby's description of the ancient history of the area and how it relates to the present is brought to life by his photography and the detailed maps.It's hard to imagine a more readable and informative text on the subject.. How she managed to find strength despite everything she went through is amazing, and her political prowess and intelligence is some of the most developed and believable I've ever read in a historical novel.Selene is almost so strong of a character that she completely overshadows virtually every other character in the novel, though for the most part I really didn't mind this.
